Newark

YDC's mission is to provide mental health treatment primarily to children and adolescents of all ages, including family members, in whatever form the family exists, with the goal of helping clients attain effective personal, family, and school/community functioning. Services are provided in our community mental health clinic both in-person and via telehealth. We specialize in early childhood mental health (0-6 years of age) with a goal of building a secure attachment bond between children and their parents and enhancing parenting abilities. YDC also provides counseling to parents who are facing mental health problems and have difficulty coping.
We accept Medicaid insurance and provide counseling in Spanish and Portuguese. The Youth Development Clinic will adapt to the family’s culture and values to deliver services most effectively, i.e., through best practice models that have been demonstrated to be effective.
