The ULWCC was established on the promise that recovery is possible when an individual adopts a “wellness” approach in treating the disorders they are living with.

Urban Life approaches the treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders in a holistic manner. Treatment intervention provided at Urban Life focuses on healing. The cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual domains that define the individual and work assist the individual in achieving a healthy balance and integration of those domains. The Urban Life Wellness & Counseling Center is a therapeutic learning community where participants and staff engage in a process of mutual learning. Learning about the principles of wellness and recovery and the role that the disease of substance abuse plays in interfering with those processes.
