Tri-City Peoples Corporation is a not-for-profit community development corporation that has provided comprehensive services to low-income and disadvantaged people in the Newark metropolitan area since 1966.  Our programs and servies address or respond to social ills produced by inefficient education, lack of employment and/or affordable housing, shortage of quality healthcare services and systematic entitlement programs that breed dependancy and family disintegration.

With over 40 programs and services, Tri-City Peoples Corporation is your one stop community partner.  Our programs and services include:

  • Foster Care/Resource Prent Recruitment
  • Foster Care Case Managemnt
  • Second Chance program for homeless teenage mothers (ages 13-17)
  • Supervised Visitation
  • Therapeutic Visitation
  • The Newark Childcare Center at 675 S. 19th Street in Newark (NAEYC accredited; children 2 1/2-5 years old.  FREE Abbott classes for Newark Residents only.  Annual Summer Camp)
  • Lil Tykes Learning Center at the V.A. Health Care Campus on 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ (NAEYC accredited; care for infants to 5 years old)
  • Family Friendly Center at Ivy Hill Elementary School at 107 Ivy Street in Newark
  • Essex County Young Urban Leaders
  • Launch Into Life (Independant living, youth supported housing program for youth aging out of DCPP)
  • Life Skills Training for youth
  • Housing Counseling Services (HUD Certified; First Time Home Buyers, Forclosure Intervention, Reverse Mortgage Counseling)
  • Credit Counseling and Debt Management
  • Housing Development
