STEAM for ME NJ empowers Newark youth and families through mentorship, tutoring, and hands-on STEAM learning experiences that build confidence, creativity, and opportunity. Our programs—Youth Mentorship & Life Skills, Academic Support, and STEAM Innovation Workshops—are eligible for Flex Fund referrals through the Partnership for Children of Essex (PCE).
We integrate real-world problem solving, workforce readiness, and family engagement to strengthen emotional wellness, academic growth, and community connection for youth ages 5–21.
| Eligibility | Youth ages 5–21 and their families residing in Essex County. Referrals may come through the Partnership for Children of Essex (PCE) or directly from schools, community partners, or caregivers. No prior diagnosis required; participation based on interest, need, and availability. |
