Orange

The Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges (IFPO) is a volunteer-powered, supplemental food pantry helping to meet essential human needs of food-insecure residents of Orange, West Orange, and East Orange, NJ, with dignity and respect.
Distribution Hours
Wednesdays 9:00 am-12:00 pm, except the first Wednesday of the month we are closed.
The IFPO is not accepting new clients at this time, and we do not know when we can start doing so. In the meantime, neighbors are welcome to come for assistance and we can provide a set of non-perishable groceries. Unfortunately, we will not be able to give fresh produce and diapers.
Diaper Program
The IFPO is one of a few area pantries that offers a Diaper Program to assist new parents. Enrolled clients receive diapers, wipes, and diaper cream monthly, essentials not readily available from other sources. To be eligible to enroll, one must be a registered client living in Orange, East or West Orange with proof of need.
Unfortunately, the IFPO's diaper program is closed at this time.
Diabetes Program
The IFPO is pleased to partner with Summit Health Cares and the Community Food Bank of NJ in the "Food Health & Hope: An Answer to Diabetes." In addition to IFPO's usual food offerings, participants receive diabetes-friendly food, additional produce, and nutrition education monthly. Participants learn: how to make healthy lifestyle choices; appropriate portion control; how to shop for healthier foods; how to make diabetes-friendly recipes at home, and about the importance of exercise in managing their health.
