The Family Success Center is a safe and fun place where anyone can go for family support, job readiness, workshops, and other general support services. The family success center helps to strengthen lives by empowering all families to succeed.
- Workshops on health, job readiness, life skills, housing, and more!

The "DADVENTURES Program" is a program which implements a fun & interactive curriculum for Irvington fathers and their young children, called Dadventures. Participants practice effective communication through fun activities. Come meet other fathers just like you!
- 18 short (15-20 minute) interactive sessions for fathers and their young children using the Dadventures curriculum (fewer sessions can be offered as well)
- One time workshops for fathers and their young children using adapted portions of the Dadventures curriculum
- Convenient locations throughout Irvington including on-site at IFDC, at your child's school (daycare center, pre-school, and elementary school), and other community-based settings
- Flexible schedules are available!
The "Family Outreach Program" is a resource for family workers in the Irvington, Passaic, and Orange pre-school districts offered through trainings and one-on-one support so that family workers can better serve the families of the children in those pre-schools.
- Trainings for pre-school family workers and parents on topics of: early childhood health, preventing lead poisoning, and preventing child abuse and neglect.
- Individual and group support meetings for pre-school family workers
- Resources and referrals
- Assistance to families of pre-school children with enrollment into NJ Family Care health insurance
- Support pre-school family workers through a family development credential course
"NJ PREP" is The NJ Personal Responsibility Education Program (NJ PREP) is a teen pregnancy prevention program which uses a curriculum called "Making Proud Choices!" which provides education about abstinence, safer sex, and proper contraception use.
- "Making Proud Choices!" is offered in school-based settings through-out Irvington, Newark, East Orange, Orange, Paterson, Passaic, Jersey City, and Englewood
- Enrolled youth are between 10 and 19 years old
- The curriculum includes 8 one hour modules/sessions
- Evaluation includes a pre-test, post-test, and a follow up test 3 months after program completion
- Program design includes a 1:1 study group and comparison group structure
The "Active Parenting" Program offers an evidence-based educational curriculum for Irvington parents of children ages 5-8.
- Includes 6 two-hour sessions
- Video-based parenting education depicting families of diverse backgrounds
- Parents learn skills and techniques for improving the parent/child relationship, communication, discipline and more.
- Food and refreshments are provided
- A graduation session for those who complete all 6 sessions includes prizes and incentives.
