This event has already occurred!

This year’s celebration--held during the 110th anniversary year of the founding of the Museum, one of Newark’s anchor cultural institutions--take as its theme “Newark Strong!”  We will highlight the diversity of workers’ contributions to the city’s rich industrial history using objects in the Museum’s collections.

Join us as we honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and help fulfill his dream of building a "beloved community" while passing on his message of freedom and equality to future generations.

Enjoy films, live performances, spoken word, family activities and interactive tours throughout the day.
